Grazie ad un piano di rifacimento e messa in sicurezza delle strade del territorio comunale, varato dalla giunta Arcidiacono, sono iniziati i lavori di messa in sicurezza della via Dusmet nella frazione di San Martino delle Scale, dove sorge una delle Abbazie più importanti della Sicilia, che possiede un patrimonio artistico di grande valore. Alla consegna ufficiale erano presenti il sindaco Alberto Arcidiacono con gli assessori Geppino Pupella, Luigi D’eliseo e il consigliere comunale Flavio Pillitteri . Il centro montano a pochi passi da Palermo e Monreale, rappresenta anche uno dei polmoni verdi di grande importanza paesaggistica le cui strade sono state inserite nel piano di recupero del tessuto viario .I lavori includono anche la bretella di collegamento di via Dusmet con la SP 57 . Ad entrambi le arterie è stata data precedenza nel calendario degli interventi prioritari, in quanto vertono in uno stato di grande criticità. I lavori prevedono il ripristino del manto stradale accidentato e la sostituzione dei tratti di guard rail danneggiati. “Si tratta di interventi importanti per la messa in sicurezza delle strade e per il collegamento con Monreale – ha dichiarato il sindaco Alberto Arcidiacono – che ci consentono di valorizzare parti del territorio come San Martino delle Scale il cui nucleo storico è strategico per il turismo Religioso e le attività produttive del luogo”
