Cerimonia di commemorazione: L’amministrazione depone mazzo di fiori al monumento ai caduti di piazza San Castrenze
In occasione della giornata dell’Unità Nazionale e delle Forze Armate, il Comune di Monreale ha organizzato una manifestazione commemorativa, alla quale vi hanno preso parte il sindaco Alberto Arcidiacono gli assessori Geppino Pupella Luigi D’Elise e Letizia Sardisco che ha deposto un fascio di fiori davanti al monumento ai caduti di Piazza San Castrenze . Presenti fra gli altri , il comandante della stazione carabinieri Antonino La Rocca, il comandante della Polizia Municipale Luigi D’Marulli, il consigliere comunale Fabrizio Lo Verso e i soci e presidente dell’associazione nazionale Carabinieri sezione di Monreale Vito Cortigiani. La festa del 4 novembre, ricordiamo che viene celebrata anche in altre sedi istituzionali come Regioni, Provincie, Comuni. E’ stata istituita nel 1919, ed è l’unica festa nazionale che abbia attraversato decenni di storia italiana dall’età liberale, al fascismo, all’Italia
repubblicana.
