Il Comando Provinciale Carabinieri di Palermo organizza un ciclo di eventi che prenderanno il via sabato 12 in Aula Consiliare alle ore 11. L’incontro sul tema: Truffa agli Anziani come difendersi” L’Arma dei Carabinieri da di Palermo, attenta al contrasto della criminalità comune che insidia le fasce più deboli, ha voluto promuovere questi eventi per la prevenzione dei reati anche mediante la sensibilizzazione e l’informazione dei cittadini, anche attraverso conferenze rivolte alle persone non più giovani. Il programma prenderà il via con il saluto e l’introduzione di Anna Rita Catalano, capo gruppo Palermo del Corpo Italiano di Soccorso dell’Ordine di Malta. Seguiranno gli interventi del Capitano Andrea Quattrocchi, Comandante della Compagnia Carabinieri di Monreale del Maresciallo Maggiore Antonio La Rocca, Comandante della Stazione Carabinieri di Monreale e di Giuseppe Cortigiani, Presidente dell’associazione nazionale carabinieri sezione di Monreale. “L’aspetto psicologico che caratterizza gli anziani vittime di truffe” verrà trattato dall’assistente sociale Annamaria La Corte dell’Ufficio Servizi Sociali del Comune di Monreale .Altri incontri sono in corso di svolgimento in tutti i Comuni nella provincia di Palermo, dove l’attività dell’Arma sarà rivolta, in particolare, alla sensibilizzazione delle comunità di persone meno giovani.
“Ringrazio l’Arma dei Carabinieri – ha detto il sindaco Alberto Arcidiacono – per questa serie di eventi che tendono a sensibilizzare e informare la nostra cittadinanza e soprattutto le categorie sociali più deboli , come gli anziani che hanno bisogno di aiuto e sostegno”.
L’Obiettivo delle conferenze è quello di stimolare domande su criticità vissute o dubbi sulle condotte da tenere, aiutandoli a superare la ‘tendenza a isolarsi’ e le naturali ansie derivanti da una non più giovane età. Nel corso degli incontri sarà anche distribuito ai partecipanti materiale informativo cartaceo da portare a casa e da tenere sempre a portata di mano, per aiutare gli interessati con utili consigli su come prevenire le truffe ai loro danni.
